Free and powerful FTP client for fast and secure transfers, and easy management of files from remote websites.

FileZilla is a free, cross-platform FTP client
This software allows users to quickly transfer files and web documents from their personal computers to web servers, where anyone with internet access and a browser can read them.
The program supports FTP, FTP over SSL (Secure Socket Layer), FTP over Transport Layer Security (TPL), FTPS (Secure FTP), and SSH (Secure Shell). FileZilla also supports SFTP for the secure transfer of multiple files across multiple servers.

FileZilla can connect to a web server on both a local area network (LAN) and the internet. The program’s “Site Manager” appears as a pop-up window when opened from the main toolbar.
The Site Manager offers many useful options and is where users store their configuration protocols and server settings necessary for logging into remote servers.
When opened, the program displays a split screen with two windows.
The left window shows the user’s local computer, allowing them to browse for the files they need to upload.
The right window (when connected) shows the remote server, including all its folders and subfolders, allowing the user to easily navigate to the remote location where the uploaded files will be copied.

At first glance
FileZilla’s interface might not seem any more user-friendly than the control panel of a naval fighter jet. There’s a lot to learn about this program, but advanced training can come much later (if at all) after the user has mastered uploading files to the web.Fortunately, this isn’t particularly difficult. Beginner users are advised to go directly to the program’s Site Manager, which is the first option that appears when you click the first item in the menu bar (CTRL+S).From there,
the user is advised to enter and save their remote server credentials before practicing logging in and uploading files.

For web developers simply
This program offers quick uploads to a remote web server and is hard to beat. Once you master it, you can easily upload many files, whether individually or in bulk. If the connection drops, the program tries to reconnect and pick up where it left off. You can track the progress of uploads and downloads as files move at the bottom of the screen. It has great support, and users can look forward to regular updates.
